Fall 2011 Finals: Pt. I

The ending of our Fall term is beginning. Starting tomorrow, within the next two weeks, I have three research papers (totaling 30 pages), one sexual disorders final, one theology (take-home) final, and a psychopathology final. Yipee, I love learning.

I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again: finals time is one of my favorite parts of every term. Yes, the work load is unbelievable at times; but the amount of absurd Facebook statues, text messages, google chats (sometimes in multiple, incoherent languages), flash mobs, blog posts, and the always-resulting camaraderie is more than enough to keep me smiling, giggling and thankful as I struggle across the finish line.

Tonight, it began.

And, so, I leave you with a text message sent to Riley, in response to her “Can I come over?”:

“You actually never have to ask: “can I?” in regards to being invited over. The answer will always be yes, in every imaginable circumstance. I say this because I think it is important that we, the people of this world, articulate these things to the people in our lives. For the betterment of our soul friends, community and the world at large; so that people may know as they rest their heads on their pillows at slumber’s call, that they are safe, loved, known, and welcome somewhere always.”

-no reply-

“Anyways, I’ll be looking for my Pulitzer nomination in the mail. Thank, to the academy, for this opportunity. God bless you all. Merry Christmas.”

Here we come page two, here we come!

Live free. Dream far, scholars.

Dedicated to: my late night comrade and loved one, Jenny; for whom is separated from me this hereby evening; yet, as such, thereby thee, we move together through the dark night.

One Response to Fall 2011 Finals: Pt. I

  1. I verify the truth of this story, although the “no reply” part is debatable.
